Glendale, CA (February 10, 2025) – The Armenian American Museum and Cultural Center of California has reached another major milestone in its construction progress with the successful completion of the concrete pour for the roof deck and second level of the building. The project continues to move forward, with framing scheduled to take place throughout the month of February.
The latest achievement marks a significant step in the museum’s development, bringing the cultural and educational center closer to completion. As framing progresses, the structure of the museum will begin to take shape, showcasing the vision of a unique institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating Armenian heritage, history, and contributions.
“We are excited to share this latest milestone with our community,” said Executive Chairman Berdj Karapetian. “With each phase of construction, we are one step closer to opening the doors of the Armenian American Museum and fulfilling our mission of education, engagement, and cultural enrichment.”
The framing phase will define the museum’s layout, bringing the architectural vision to life with towering walls and intricate details that reflect Armenian heritage and modern innovation. In the months ahead, the project will progress with exterior finishes, interior installations, and Permanent Exhibition development.
Once completed, the Armenian American Museum will serve as a vibrant space for educational programs, and events, providing a permanent home to honor Armenian history, culture, and contributions.
The museum’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of America’s ethnic and cultural diversity by sharing the Armenian American experience. The vision is a cultural campus that enriches the community, educates the public on the Armenian American story, and empowers individuals to embrace cultural diversity and speak out against prejudice. The cultural and educational center is currently under construction in the museum campus at Glendale Central Park.
