In 2012, the Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee Western USA was established in Los Angeles to steer and coordinate the multifaceted commemorative activities in the Western United States in preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 24, 2015.
AGCC WUSA adopted two major initiatives including the Armenian Genocide Centennial March for Justice held on April 24, 2015 to honor the memory of the 1.5 million martyrs who perished in the Armenian Genocide and the Armenian American Museum and Cultural Center of California to help build and define the next centennial of the community as a message of strength, perseverance, and hope for future generations.
