The Armenian American Museum Young Leaders Council hosted an inspiring Speaker Series evening with acclaimed screenwriter, producer, and Proximity Media founder Sev Ohanian at the Glendale Central Library, just steps from the museum’s future home in Central Park.

The event featured opening remarks by Young Leaders Council Chair Aleen Ohanian, who emphasized the importance of empowering young Armenian Americans through storytelling and connection. The engaging conversation delved into Sev Ohanian’s career journey from his early days in film to producing acclaimed projects like Searching, Run, Judas and the Black Messiah, and his upcoming release Sinners, starring Michael B. Jordan.

The audience was captivated by Sev’s candid stories, advice, and behind-the-scenes insights into the entertainment industry. His reflections on creative collaboration, cultural identity, and building Proximity Media resonated with young professionals in attendance. A highlight of the evening was the interactive Q&A, followed by a heartfelt moment as the museum’s leadership team presented Sev with an original sketch of the future museum, symbolizing the powerful link between storytelling, heritage, and community.
